If we are going to reach our students in today's world we are going to have to teach within their learning realms. Technology is in our students' lives. They are motivated, engaged, and active in their learning when we use these tools in our teaching. I like the checklist of the 5 elements/criteria for TU. I especially enjoyed the samples that were provided to deepen my understanding. The phrase that sticks out most in my mind is "New technologies help students produce rather than simply CONSUME ideas..."

WoooHoooo, you got it. As a librarian how can we not embrace technology? Students have information at the tips of their fingers. We have to teach them how to effectively evaluate the vast amount of information that is out there for them to use.
